I won't clutter the GB thread, but where is best to install the controller box and tank? I'm interested in the progressive kit.

Most don't have the room for the tank and pump to both be mounted in the engine bay so boot mount it.

As for the controller most mount somewhere on the dash.

How much extra 'piping' do you think would be needed for a rear install in the spare wheel well?

We supply kits with 15 foot of tubing so i can supply an extra you think you need over that?

Have you got any photos of the tanks you can supply? Is capacity a standard UK gallon? Just wondering if different shapes and sizes are available :)

Cheers,

Steve

Agreed on size/shape! Ideal location needs to sit in spare wheel well!

Not sure how much would be needed on top however, its only a iccle car!

Can't see you needing more than 15ft (4.5m) to run from the boot to the engine bay of the Beeza mate?

Steve

About 3.5m will go down from the offside edge of the boot, down the car, and into the engine bay via the glovebox. :) Just think how long a 10 foot fishing rod is when laid alongside the car. :)

Here's the pic of the normal tank we do (4 US Quart's)

24332.attach

The size is 10" x 8 1/2" x 4 1/4".

Next size up is a 2.5 gallon tank

24333.attach

The size is 7 3/4" x 12 3/4" x 7 3/4".

these are slightly more at £50 although in the group buy for Briskoda members i can do them for £45.

Thanks - great info

Those look rather well designed. Looking at the smaller one, I could well mount that to the back of the rear seat? :rubchin:

Steve

Well done bas

Looks like a cracking install, yet again!

Any ideas how this would effect a DPF? say on a volvo

You can test the install out on a Czech first, if you like ;)

Thought i'd post up some more pics of various kits fitted to give you all an idea.

Please read the whole thread. There's information on fitting in Post No. 13.

Hi Basil,

just waiting the weekend to be able to try to install my progressive kit on my Octy vrs tdi :D

Where did you get the signal for the controller from?

At what thresholds are you setting it?

Just so everyone knows as well, the kits come with full fitting instructions, we also offer a fitting service as well.

Re fitting service, it might be worth putting some location info in your profile on here, so people can see where you are :)

Will come up below your avatar, on the left.

wire labelled no.4 on the connector - green/dark purple. Disconnect the connector (press in on the tab with a screwdriver) and work it up to the engine bay to tap into it. Make sure you're at least an inch away from the connector to prevent wire breakage. Test with a multimeter to make sure the tap has penetrated the insulation. If not, shave the insulation with a razor blade.

I've got the controller set at 1.0BAR , 2.0 BAR max for now.

It comes on at a boost-gauge-indicated 0.85 BAR and full flow around 1.7 BAR, but it does vary a little for some reason....
