i no...the pic tells you how to remove the window strip..i broke my screen by trying to prize it out with a screwdriver so be carefull:eek:

And to be honest the panel doesnt have too come off, if your a bit trick you can change the pollen filter by sliding between the gap, I've done this and I've got fat hands.

There is a risk of grazed knuckles though !!!!

About £7 iirc

Just changed the pollen filter again after last time, as in the opening post. A few people didn't believe me that the filters get that dirty, and claimed that the one I removed was a charcoal filter. I'm now happy to prove that they were wrong! The dirty filter shown below is the one that I fitted, which started out as white as seen in the opening post.

As you can see here they are the same filter (1H0 819 644B). I was told that the charcoal filter goes under part number 1J0 819 644A, but is not listed under my VIN.

The old filter was in there for almost 2 years, and the air was beginning to get a bit musty! Impressive amount of crud in there!

it is scary how much crap these collect in a very short time, considering you would otherwise be breathing in all that crap. Even scarier is that a lot of it is diesel particulate, hence the colur..

I believed you. Changed mine after one years use the other day, old one was same state as yours and it wasnt a charcoal one either.

Bloody hell!

I think Mike at Impossible changed mine in 2009 but might think about getting another one in the Spring!
