Estate--Rear luggage cover noisy

Featured Replies

Has anyone else experienced an annoying flappy noise from the rear end ??

Is there anything that can be done to help?

Answers on a postcard please

Get your piles sorted out :)

On a more serious note, no never had a problem..

you have got it extended over the boot havent you? i noticed mines quite noise when rolled up

No problems here.

Not noticed here. If it is not extended, have you noticed the flappy end folds back neatly onto the top of the whatsit? Might be worth folding it up or unfolding it. Also the tray underneath is a bit flimsy. Check it is secure or take it out. (Mine wont stay in place with a 35kg dog climbing over it every time he's in the car.) Otherwise are you sure it is the load cover? What else have you got in the boot area, or in the two side pockets?

Mine makes a noise (not much though) when its rolled up. No noise at all when its extended over the boot space.

Yes. And i think it is the flappy end vibrating as well

Had the car for nearly two years now, but still havent tried it with the load area cover removed. I usually drive away, hear the rattle and think; 'oh yes i must remember to leave the cover at home next time' :D

With the load cover open, and the flappy bit hanging in thin air I sometimes notice some noise, but flip it over so its lying on the storage box then its usually fine. For those that have not realised yet, there is a storage box located under the cover which is accessed from the rear seats of the car.

Unless I am carrying something really valuable in the back, then the cover is always open. I dont like the "hey it looks like I am hiding something expensive" look although I usually am.
