Thank you and Goodbye!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just thought i'd take this opportunity to say thanks for making this great forum what it is and saving me umpteen hours and skinned knuckles whilst modding/fixing my octy Vrs over the past 2 and a half years.

But, alas the time had come for a change and the Vrs has gone to make way for another(make and model). So once again, thank you all as this is most probably my last post.

Sorry to see you go, no need to....

Indeed, a change of car does not mean you need to go. There are many ex. skoda owners on here who still pass on the knowledge/tips they have gained.

Stick around Ian

What have you changed to? Your avatar change seems to point to a certain manufacturer, but what about the model? :)

Steve

Good luck with the Vauxhall. You'll need it!

you can still stay mate, doesnt mean not having a skoda that youre not welcome here.

Let us know what you've bought!

^^what he said^^

it's a good, friendly forum - nothing to stop you joining another to help with your new car...

I am still allowed on here and I drive a car made by the 'Devil's Spawn' (or what ever it was Paula Yates said)

You don't have to go Ianto, but if your avatar is an indication of what you bought, perhaps you should at least :sofahide:

haha thanks guys!

I've bought an 04 zafira 2.0 Dti, we wanted a bigger car for days out with the family and I fancied a change.

This is more a thank you as you've provided me with loads of info and advice.

I've been hanging around here for years, and haven't had a Skoda since 2002!

Stick some Skoda Badges on it. A rather large Roomster...:D

Theres a few of those on our circuit and they go quite well.

'Circuit' as in serving as taxis, or do you have access to a racetrack?? :D

You've clearly never travelled in a Bournemouth taxi!!

According to this months Car Magazine, Skoda will be building a seven seater based on the Touran soon, so you'll be able to return to the 'fold' and transport the family in the not too distant future

It won't look like a stretched Roomster will it?

No, looks like a Skoda badged Touran with a few different panels / styling tweaks.

Interestingly there is also a quote from VW's Group Chairman, Martin Winterkorn:

"I am no longer prepared to let Skoda tread on VW's toes" - looks like Skodas is having its wings clipped!
