Having done 13k now in my TDi VRS, I thought i'd look see how many miles left to service.

So, I held-in the mileage trip button whilst turning on the ignition switch.

The message was "service now".

Humf!>.......

No miles to service message seen either before or since.

It's definately set to long life (according to the service book), with QC1 listed in the advisory area of the "next service" portion.

Any ideas please?

Yeah I think you have started the reset procedure rather than checking how long until the next service. Held it down too long.

Have a look with your VAG-COM Jon. I think you can put it back to where it was.

I was trying to be too clever........aint got the vag-com lead at present, so will have a shuftie when I get it back.
