Jeep Cherokee 2.5TD (Old square shape)

Featured Replies

I'm thinking about getting rid of my skoda cube van as it's a hassle trying to get a permit for the tip every year.

I saw an old Jeep Cherokee at work today, and just wondered what they're like to run and maintain? I been looking on ebay and autotrader and can get a 80 / 90 K miler for just over £1000. Anyone have experience of the TD model at all?

Check available space very carefully. I was on one once, and they're disappointingly cramped for something so bulky looking IMO.

Oh yeah and that was originally a typo, but is the other thing I don't like about offroaders; I always feel like I'm sitting on them rather than in them! It may not bother you, but it's a factor IMO.

They love fuel actually drink it like pop and rust a bit I would look at the japanese alternatives,

What about an old Isuzu Trooper or a Shogun?

The Turbo Diesel engine [made by VM] has a seperate head for each cylinder....cracked heads and blown gasket are very common.
