syphoning diesel from my fabia

Featured Replies

hello people.

car goes in tomorrow ready for my part exchange on thursday:D

going in so early as i dont want to pay my insurance that is due on monday! anyway back to the point. ive got about half a tank of diesel left in my fabia which i want to stick in my dads car (also a fabia). dont think that i will be able to just stick the pump down the fuel cap due to the syphon security things. is the easiest way to do this; lift the back seats up. then theres that rubber black circle thing. take that off and then see whats on the other side? lol. once ive taken the black bung off what will i find?

only thing is that im using my dads car until i get my new one, so dont want to just be blowing off fuel pointlessly. thats why im wanting to get the fuel out in the first place

For all the potential hassle, ballache and potential damage I wouldn't waste my time for the sake of £20. Fuel systems are a pain in the **** at the best of times as they are being designed to more rigorously ward off siphoning as you describe.
