What mods have you done to your car?

I've no standing quarter times to share, sadly.

Engine wise, a panel filter, pd160, a vent in the wheel arch and an angel tuning remap. It was a good laugh, dont like abusing the car like that all the time but a few runs down the quarter mile every so often aint to bad.

standing quarter in a standard vrs "blt" 16.7sec :(

it was warm though:)

16.3 at crail, in the wet. Bog standard vRS :)

14.3 at York. Not standard, not at all.

panel filter and pd160 and remap? that it?

u got rough power output?

i have a cone filter and remap and my back seats and spare tyre out. (i even put in cetane booster)

all i got was 15.1 really want 2 break that 15 second. next purchase is a frount mount. then poss hybrid turbo.

any suggestions btw and rough prices?

15 flat (still) Not been 1/4'ing for over a year. Must re-visit Santa Pod some time soon.

I assume you're all 2nd gear launching?

Great times, 15 dead, and well done cracking into the 14's mate.

What 0-60ft times etc did you hit?

When I had 170.9bhp and 285lb.ft in my Seat Ibiza FR TDi, I managed a 14.7 1/4 time @ Santa Pod. This was with a remap and FMIC and that was it.

I whent down to Santa Pod a week or so ago for a RWYB day and ran a 13.8 with 226bhp

surely an LSD/ATB is the mod you want?

My best was 15.2 at santa pod. Havent run since i've had more mods put on.

I have a LSD myself, helps in a corner not so much off a set of lights.

I believe getting more power and balancing it on launch would be more worth while if you just interested in 1/4 times.

boggo 120000mile vrs, 16.4 i think it was. My first time at the pod too. A friend with is it the ibiza fr with the pd130 engine in? he managed 14.6 i think. Won fastest diesel, tho there wasnt much else out i dont think. Fooking quick still tho.

14.6 is a good time indeed, what mods to support that time? I worked out with the power if everything was perfect my car should have hit a 14.5, this would confirm it a tad more :)

And the vent in the wheel arch. Back seats and spare wheel taken out aswell. Not got a rough power output, would hope around the 180bhp with the map. Was really pleased beating a 15, only managed it the once, got a few 15 deads though, the car was super consistent all day.

Always pulling away in 1st gear.

on my quickest run it was 2.4 second mate. All the times for the day are on www.crailraceway.co.uk if anyone is interested. I was number 17.

Howcome your best is only a 15 Jason. Struggle to put the power down? Saw you running at GTI down the quarter.

13.9 in a 230bhp fabia @ york is my quickest.... 2nd gear launch

Very bad grip there. I need to get back to the Pod. I've not run there for a long time now. Need a new map then learn how to launch my car in 2nd with this new clutch of mine....

Take care of those drive shafts Jason :)

Held together so far. :D It was wheel hop which contributed to blowing the first one, and now I don't get wheel hop at all thanks to better suspension and the diff.

I just need re-tuning.

Nice mate, not heard of any PD130's hitting below 14's before, what times did the jabba fabia run with more power/torque?

Erm, Pd160 intake + green cotton, Full miltek/de-cat, Custom jabba FMIC, Garret Hybrid Turbo, Sachs Clutch, and map. Possibley more not 100%. 240.9bhp, 366.7ft/lb, tho the conditions were naff, had been raining in the morning. He`s going for 14 i think.

Matt

I don't think the Jabba car ever pipped 14 seconds. I am 99% sure it did a 14 flat - and consistent low 14s.

Mine did a 15.4 with just a remap and the spare wheel taken out :)
