Mine did a 15.4 with just a remap and the spare wheel taken out :)

This is hellfires old car isn't it? If it is i beleive i read a thread about it doing 14.7 ish. Mine ran a 15.18 at york full to the brim with fuel and with a boot full of crap,6.8 to 60 and 60 foot times were 2.2 it was my first time on the strip, and interestingly with 1st gear launches i was up at 15.6 even tho those watching said it looked much quicker than 2nd gear launches. I think with more practice i would be well into the 14's

Nice mate, not heard of any PD130's hitting below 14's before, what times did the jabba fabia run with more power/torque?

It had more JABBA power ;) mine had proper power and 382lbft.

It also had a peloquin diff which helped. That said I could never replicate that result. I got a couple of 14, deads that day but only one 13.9. Must have been the wind that helped me

a 13.9 is seriously quick! Would be awesome, only things beating times like that are 4 wheel drives normally, or cars running big horse. Spose its torque that wins races and bhp that wins arguments

There are other FWD VAG cars that will go quicker with just a map and TBE.. ;)

Still impressive for a soot chucker though..

I get consistent 16.4-16.6 with a panal filter and intake pipe everytime I'm down at Crail, haven't been in a while though. Hopefully get a lot more done after the winter and get some really good runs in!

I cant wait to go to crail not being an **** but i seem to pull away from vrs's with same figures might be the 5 speed?!?:D

The old Polo GT Racers used 5 speed boxes.

Yeah big horse ones, aka 305bhp from a remap for the S3/Cupra/Ed.30 lot.

Here is my 1/4 time :

I wonder is there anyway to get a rough 0-60 time for a 1/4 slip?

I'd say late 5's mate..

I'll say early 6s :D To be doing just shy of 80mph in 8.9 I think relates to a 6.1 0-60 Depends on what your 50-70/60-80 times are like. I know in mine 50-70 is 2.3 seconds, so 60-80 is probably around 2.6/2.7. :)

Only way for sure is to strap in one of those racelogic GPS datalogging boxes during your runs.

shiftys was running 5.8 and that was on 14.3 run,go to york the left lane measures 0-60 and the right 0-60ft

Around the 6 second mark sounds about right, Ive done a 60-100 in around 6 seconds when already on boost a tad, aka started at around 57mph!

That's on a stopwatch I take it mate?

As your 1/4 time shows that you will be doing 0-100 in around 14 secs, so if you're doing 0-60 in 6, you aint doing 60-100 in 6, more like 8 secs..

Have you run it with the current spec with interior in T-Spark? Be interesting to see what difference it makes. As after seeing inside it @ Pod, there's some serious weight loss there..

I was going to say 6 sounds a little brief to me. :) That would be a 12 second quarter then. 8 seconds is more realistic, but still a very fast time for that acceleration.

Yes, was very rough and after I put up the post I did think, well hang on a minute lol!

The interior isnt going back in, as thats how the car now is :) Alot of people take things out for the pod to get a fast time, however I personally dont see why? If you dont run on the road like that, why kid yaself and say its faster than it is? Mine on the road is how you saw it.

Needs more weight out and more power.... ggrr

Fair play mate.. Don't know if I could go without my dash. Hardcore!

totally agree, people empty their cars and then test them claiming thats its performance day to day but its not as its running more weight! run it as is or not at all :D

quite tempted to take mine upto crail this sunday for a blast up the strip.

standard so i dont expect good times.

Glad someone agree'd :D

News to me that mine had a diff

All of my quick ones seemed to be when i had all the leather interior in the car which was strange?

Ohh cooling air = faster :D

However the car currently is having issues with a boost pipe coming loose and having a smoke screening anything behind, oh and I seem to have a problem with the manifold pressure sensor (again!) sending it into limp mode and not boosting corrently, ggrr!!

Oh and im skint after forking out for another engine mount after mine whent at pod a few weeks ago, 2nd time that one has gone!
