the new Hyundai i20 looks great

I looked at one of these, but the performance figures were a little of the pace...

Is that the single seat, 4 by 4, sports version.

I read that Hyundai may be making a quick Diesel version in a similar vein to the old vRS. Only a rumour but I would consider one. I think the modern KIA and Hyundai are much better screwed together than a few years ago so would definately consider one, especially with the great warranties.

yer agreed, new kia's and hyundai's are alot better than they used to be when there was the great pacific rim!! grey was there fav colour and altho they rattled on about how much more cheaper they were to the rivals of the time, thats fair play but! at a point, the cars 3 years old, its done 40+k miles you will find you will get around 20% in value, its not good! sometimes it makes sense in the short term and there slowy getting there value up, AGAIN BUT! 3year old hyundai or 3year old ford (just saying) people will go with the brand they know, its hard enough for them to shift the sexy coupe!

I saw this thread but hadn't read it previously but when I saw an advert for the i20 in the paper at the weekend I wondered what all the fuss was about. Looks like most bland eastern cars to me.

Like the look of the Alfa Mito though :)

I like the MITO too but we are stepping up a league there metinks

Not really , the base MITO is just over £10K

Is it not based on the Punto

going for a test drive in the i20 tomorrow.i'll let u know what it's like !

hyunadai the best thing that came out of korea....oh apart from my egg timer.

The Mito is based on the Grande Punto and Vauxhall Corsa, I like it very much

I personally wouldnt have an i20, I had a Getz. Hyundai will be quick to tell you that the new i20/i30 are revolutionary cars for them that have really brought them into the league with european marques, but then they also said that about the Getz, which you only need to look at (and drive) to realise it was an epic fail

Any savings you make on list price will quickly be offset by depriciation. So if you really want an i20, then hold out for a 3 year old used example for £2.50 with a free bag of crisps

just got back from testing a 1.2 classic in grey.

the only down point was the cheaper plastic's used (but been told the plastic's improve on the models above).

the space inside is bigger then my mk 1 fabia ,the gears and the drive were fine.

i've driven the mk2 fabia and i didn't like the gears or the room inside.the look of the car is awful too !!

the sales guy was busy when i got back to give the key's back but he's just gave me a ring.

i got my car on PCP pver 3 and half years so i have to pay back £3000 next march.

with the 5 years warranty and the garage within walking distance i might just buy one !
