I'd be suprised if they axed the Fabia vRS over here, its the fastest selling Skoda at the moment according to recent sales reports from Skoda.

Yep, that's the thing, Ross. When I visited the UK in June I had enough material for Was it you? for next four years - there were bl00dy vRS Fabs on every corner of the street! :eek:

Whereas in NL the car didn't sell at all. It was Skoda's single most miserable sales failure since the advent of VAG. Thank you, Dutch Skoda importer, for introducing the country's first expensive Skoda...

Its consumer price tag is now at 24.9k euros, whereas the similar diesel (but 6-speed) Ibiza FR is only priced at 23.4k!

Don't a lot of the cars sold in Holland (and Belgium, for that matter) have small engines? Isn't there a tax incentive to drive a big car with a small capacity motor?
