Featured Replies

hi just collected my new front arb as my current 1's bushes are cracked. Told by the parts chappy the rubber bushes had also been upgraded so i got them as well but never mentioned if i needed the support brackets as well. Well do i need them or are they still same part number. 53 plate car

Many thanks

I didnt change them on either mine or wardys.

I changed the bushes and the part number of those were......

6Q0 113 14N

The orginal brakets fitted fine with the bushes i had. IIRC it was only the bar that got revised.

The bar i used on wardys was 6Q0 411 305AC

Hope this helps

yes bushes on the bar are now metal and rubber bushes are revised so as the brackets will still fit im happy to fit it all now

I don't think that my brackets needed changing - just the bushes as the section of the ARB that they are located at are now thinner (smaller diameter) as the tail of the plastic stops are no longer there. I looked at changing mine, considered that the cross member needed dropping and that complete realignment of the four wheel would then be needed, and it was freezing (winter) - so got the local VW dealer to sort it out. Funnily the steering wheel of then "over to one side" - so I was glad when I passed it into a VAG indep specialist a few months later to get the Cupra TCA bushes fitted (even although this realignment meant an MOT failure 11,000 miles later for trashed inside edges on new tyres!)
