Original SoundSystem Retrofitting (lot of pics)

Featured Replies

With the bass at notch 6 to 7 the door cards transmitted a very very bad vaibration.Filled both front door cards with soundproofing material, had some sort of old under floor mat material from an Estelle I dismantled some monmths ago and the problem was solved.Honestly the differnce between a 12 and 8 speaker set up is not that significant, maybe upgraded non OE speakers and tweeters would do the trick.

if anyone is interested in the whole system including the wires drop me a message, I'm taking all out front speakers, rear speakers, amplifier, head unit ecc... if you send me youur steering wheel I'll give you that too... if you want i'll even make a video of the whole process when i take it out... palnning on swapping everything with my old octy's audio system...

what are those extra speakers that you had to cut holes for?

Does anyone know then how one would have managed to get this from the factory? I ordered a 2008 L&K and It wasn't available to me, afaik, otherwise I'd have probably specced it!

If anyone is still following this thread, could you by any chance shed some light on how I go about identifying what car audio system I have in my 2009 Octavia 1z5 ?

Thanks in advance!
