Nice. :) Which engine is it? How does it go/handle?

It's the earlier 2.5 litre straight 4 (about 150bhp). It apparently has a 47/53 weight distribution so it SHOULD handle really well. I have to admit I haven't really pushed it yet - need to check everything over thoroughly first...

Sounds very nice :)

Seriously the place in southampton will probably do at least as good a job for less.

Are you familiar with this lot:

WESSEX CAR TRIMMING

Heard a lot of good things about them.

Cheers Mark - will give them a try next days off... (and probably come and see you too!)

Not a problem, I should be around Sunday if that's any good.

As for the seat company, I saw the work they did on a calibra seat with a nice big tear in it and you couldn't tell it had been repaired

That's a little cracker of a car for small money. Well done.

Are there any more around, I could be tempted...

ebay Mate, but I think I was lucky with the price, and the fact that the seller didn't bother taking the car out of the garage to take the pictures, or even writing a decent description. Must have put a lot of people off...

Also, when I phoned him after winning it and he said to me "really gutted mate - I had over 50 people watching it and thought the price was gonna go right up at the end!":D

It is a bit tatty inside, but nothing I can't sort out myself (apart from the seats)

Nice car! I like it!

my mum n dad bought a 944 turbo this time last year in black. They look great and they're even better if they work. (mum n dads it still off the road awaiting my dad's time to fix it up )

Nah...I don't write them off - I buy them like that. And I quite like the plate - dunno why...

It will be very difficult to get a cheap private plate for a car of that age anyway. The newest you can put on it will be an "A" reg and because they were the first set the DVLA issued as private plates nearly 15 years ago, hardly any (it any at all) worth having are now available.

I totally love these, I want :(

Good choice!

I was going to point you in the direction of TIPEC, but I see you have already found us!

Welcome to the club.
