Had to give it a wash first, as it was covered in cr*p from the journey back from Taunton...

although I have to say the standard of some peoples washing & poishing isn't up to much, especially when you're trying to sell the car!

the front and rear passenger footwells were quite ...damp...to say the least. And the drivers seat needs a few *cough* repairs *cough*

but for a 25 year old car and under £1k I couldn't really complain...

Does everything work on it mate?

It's not James Mays old one from Top Gear is it :)

No, it's not James Mays... and surprisingly, everything works. (even the little headlight squirty things)

Anyone have any ideas where the leak could be?

Sorry I've nto got back to your message yet mate, but if you're around this evening feel free to pop over and we can give the colli a shot or i'll put a small amount in a pot.

Looks nice and there is a good interior trimmers near me that are not unreasonable either.

When is good for you to pop over.

As for the leaks, obvious trick is to put paper in the foot well then soak the doors and then the screen. They are the usual candidates on most cars and I'd guess both can be easily resealed. Certainly some older cars the door seals went hard and would leak, but they were never too hard to replace. Don't know if this is the case with the porker.

:rubchin:less than £1k?? That gives me an idea...

Looks in good condition for its age and price

2nd person this week to buy one of those

I like it alot

Thanks. I like it too. (Although wifey doesn't because it doesn't have power steering and it smells old)

Think I've found the leak too... the battery sits in the scuttle panel under the windscreen, and there's a little rusty hole underneath the battery which is letting water directly into the cockpit, right next to the fusebox.

- best get it plugged asap methinks...

John you just can't help yourself can you!!

Looks ok though, what plans have you got for it?

Well it's not been written off yet, so I'd guess write it off, do it up and get a private plate on it

That looks really nice. I like it alot

Looks very clean and tidy for it's age.

Congratulations ! Maybe we need a subforum for us 944 owners :)

Make sure the belts have been changed recently !

Just to add, damp passenger footwell is not an uncommon issue, and the damp rear may be caused by leaking seals around the sunroof/rear hatch.

Here's a link to the forums I use The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Club • Index page and you dont need to join the club to create a forum account.

And here's my pics

Seriously the place in southampton will probably do at least as good a job for less.

Are you familiar with this lot:

WESSEX CAR TRIMMING

Heard a lot of good things about them.
