Do other Marques have their version of VAGcom?

Featured Replies

And if so, what can you do?

Mainly keen to know about Fords (works car going into Stealers next week), but thought I'd open it up.

Well VX use Tech 1&2

Not sure what the others call theirs, but all cars need a diagnostic system these days.

There is no aftermarket software (as VAG-COM is aftermarket) for a Ford apparently, only the OBDII diagnostic equipment that Ford actually use, which will be mega money.

LOL, wasnt after it myself.

Just wondering what the dealers can tweak/turn on for various marques. I know on new vauxhalls owners can do it all themselves.

Not sure about the current Mondeo, but on the previous generation (Mk3) all the goodies were switched on using combinations of switch/button presses and turning the ignition on and off. Good fun!
