Intermediary service required?

Featured Replies

Hello,

My 05 1.6 FSI is getting to 21k miles. I bought it second hand in September 07 with 11k.

According to the service interval from the OBC, I only need to get it serviced in a few thousand miles. But when I look at the Skoda handbook, there is space for a stamp in between those.

So what do I need to do?

Of course, I have not been notified by the dashboard that anything needed doing.

Thanks for your advice

Olivier

When was the last service?

About 10k miles. (before 11k anyway)

It sounds like you are on a fixed regime then, so that will be every 10K miles or 12 months.

I don't think I am on a fixed service interval. I have done more than 10k miles, in more than 12 months since I bought the car

QG0,QG2 - fixed service intervals

QG1 - service variable interval

I am 99.9% (after all I am not a professional) sure that I am on variable servicing. What does this mean for possible intermediary services?

If you are on variable, then there are no intermediary services and only the major service as requested by the cars OBC.

Thanks, that's the confirmation I needed.
