looks nice mate whats the stuff called?

Red is the best colour.

But then when I see a yellow car all cleaned up......

Black is best for about two seconds until it looks shabby again.

No, I'm back to red again. Nice work.

i used DODO JUICE born to be mild shampoo

then went over with the DODO JUICE lime prime pre wax

then topped it with the BANANA ARMOUR hard wax :orb_artis

next time "maybe next week"

i will go over again but use the soft ORANGE CRUSH wax ... lol

i got some of their lite pirme wax to use so it doesnt strip off what ive done

:orb_jacks

all smell soo nice

auto glym glass polish on the windows, and couldnt be mean to the wheels so the 20s got some rimwax to call their own lol

:orb_bath: a great way to spend my sunday .. hehe

Mmm, nice!

Red's definitely bestest.

Looking Smart Matey!

Used to be a pain in the **** polishing my old flame red mk4 astra coupe up...claybar then meguairs 3 stage polish/wax's. all by hand :(

But use to be rewarding!

it may be sad ,but i do enjoy going out and keeping him clean

but like you said, all the layers by hand and all the buffing :orb_chop_

least burns some calories i supose :orb_tai_c LOL

That looks fantastic mate. Have you ever tried carklack glass sealant? It's amazing stuff and makes the glass bead like your slippy paintwork .

Got to give mine it's winter coat of colinite soon :( but have been very impressed with Pete's 53 over the summer months :D.

Looks great :)

looks great, i need to get off my **** and do my red VRS, machine polished the bonnet then used some poorboys products and got real nice shine, but i havent got anything cutting enough to remove some deeper swirls.

do you hand wax like literally hand or foam applicator?

  • Author

i use the good ol hand pads the meguiars microfibre pads for the prime and their foam pads for the actual wax

That's insane mate! Looks awesome. Kudos to you

FWIW lime prime lite will strip off the banana armour.

You should just wash it with the correct strength born to be mild, dry it and apply a coat of the soft wax.

  • Author

okedoke :orb_phew:

that will save some time next time

will the soft wax get rid of any remaing water marks from drying ?

i will go back over with the lime prime or the lite now n then and start again

I'd personally put a second coat of the BA on the car to make it last and then put the orange over the top with the winter coming up.

Bear in mind I'm a colly person though.

i did think that,

was tempted to go over it again with the banana, while there are still sunny days :orb_danci

then go to a few orange cos i love the smell

and then start again when winters over

i got some of their need for speed polish for when winter kicks in and i cant be doing with the waxing

  • Author

a week later and 2 coats of the banana armour i finally took the car out and thought id see what the wax did when it got wet

:orb_raisi

i was impressed
