Help Needed

Featured Replies

Okay as im a total Twonk when it comes to Photoshop  and im busy providing the nation with a blankett of security :D i was wondering if some kind person on Brisky could help.

Basically im looking to change the wheels on my vRS. I have been thinking about some OEM Audi ones with Centre Caps replaced with Skoda badge.

I've attached the 2 Types i have in mind.

What i need is for someone, Using a side on shot from the thread below of my car, to photoshop 2 pics for me, 1 using each set of wheels. That way then i can see if they will work on the car before paying out for them.

Dunno if it matters but i will be purchasing 18" in size and the ones i have on at the mo are 17"

Thankyou very much in advance to whichever kind person does this. Also if this is in the wrong section then apologies given and please move if needs be

The first ones, the second are nasty.

The first ones, the second are nasty.

I would agree.

Are they S-line wheels? If so have you considered the RS6 ones as an alternative?

If you contemplate the second set any longer, then kittens will die! and the thread title would be quite apt .......... but it would be mental help needed :)

How about some RS4's, there was a set in Awesome the other day iirc with tyres at a knockdown price to clear...... 18's as well

Deffo NOT the second set. They look a bit

Definitely NOT the second set (as photoshopped so well by harry vrs) they are far to fussy, bling, max power; urgh.

Now the 1st set, which IIRC are Audi S-line as used on A4 and A6 are IMHO pretty neat wheels but also IIRC are only available, at least as OE Audi wheel as 7.5J x 17", not 18". Nevertheless, also IMHO, this is pretty good as Skoda 17s are only 7J and that extra 0.5J spreads the sidewall of the tyre just that little bit more and tightens up the handling response quite nicely, particularly for 'winter wheels'.

I know, as I was running Pegasus 17 x 7J last year and have presently got the Audi S-Line 17 x 7.5J fitted, see here (actual photo not photoshop);-

Does that help?

Not very good at this but the pic might give you an idea of how it will look in race blue.

If your considering the second set, then I think someone is going to have to take you to one side and give you a good talking to!!!

No, No, Noooooooo!

i actually prefer the second set too

Only joking

They looked nice on the S5 i saw them on.

Thanks to those who spent the time to mess with photoshop. Defo not second set and not sure about the first now. but think i may have posted up the wrong wheels. will have a to take a pic of the car i saw with the wheels on (was an A4) as i see it quite regularly and see if that works

Anyone got any pics of Race Blue Octy with RS4's?

Cheers again

Carl:thumbup:

The 1st set you posted are definitely 17" S-Line as used on the A4 up to a couple of years ago and as presently used on the 'cooking' A6; they have, I would describe a double-edged sword design to the spokes.

The current S-Line as used on the A4 (2008 MY and later 2007 IIRC) are 18" and still 5 spoke but the spokes are more of a flat blade style that is wider at the rim vs. the width by the hub. Perhaps it is these that you have seen?

2nd set look like something the obnoxious git with the totally boring voice selling chopping and other 'useful' kitchen implements would be hawking :thumbdwn:

Carl, I am sure AwesomeGTi have a set of "no 4's" in on special offer at the moment complete with tyres, they are RS4 clones and look great on an Octy.

I love the BBS ones, always have :o

Me too :D

Have to say I quite like that :o

Works well with the Race Blue in hatch form

(Nice job BTW Harry)

The second set might look better if the body colour was changed from race blue to burberry check... :)
