Paddle shift for DSG Octy VRS coming soon

Featured Replies

Spoke to an engineer from Skoda at the Sydney International Motor Show on Wednesday and he confirmed with me that the facelifted VRs TSFI Octy will feature steering wheel mounted paddle shifting for the optional DSG gearbox. While the DGS is currently offered on the TDi version of the VRs it does not have the paddle shifts yet, and the facelift model will address this.

This was straight from the proverbial horse's mouth lads.

the paddles were hinted about in the skoda literature for the new steering wheels. are you saying that the petrol vrs is getting DSG as well as you mentioned TFSI as well as diesel above?

The 2.0TSI works very well with DSG :)

Any pictures yet? I wonder what they look like esthetically.

Here's a little selection....

You can order the DSG with paddleshift already in Germany. It is one of the extras after the facelift for the other modells.

The RS/Scout wont be touched on the outside, but on the inside there are a couple of updates.

-White illumination of the instrumentcluster

-DSG available on the RS TDI and TFSI, optional a multifunctional steeringwheel with paddleshift. New design threespoke steeringwheel

-Readinglights in the back

-Newer climatronic as in the facelift modells

Interesting stuff!

DSG and 2.0TFSI is a good combo for sure. :)
