I have a 2001 Skoda Octavia and need to find out the gearbox code how do i go about doing this?

I think there should be a sticker on the boot floor if you lift up the carpet which has all the build codes on it. You can then use those codes against a list that was posted on here and which explains what all the codes mean. Someone else will have to point you in the direction of that though unfortunately as I can't for the life of me find the link!

The codes are also in your service book.
