Hmmm will it fit in a Fabia, where's Jason?????????

I see these items at work every day. There are items that are stolen from Airbus and BAE Systems but sites like ebay are monitored for these items. There have been a few people sacked for selling stolen goods on ebay.

Not that this engine or any other part that is on his site is stolen.

Admittedly, it is a strange one for a private collector to have and to be selling at this time - To the best of my knowledge it only fits the Tornado, there are no Tornados in private collections, and only BAE and a limited number of repairer's would have the capability to restore it to servicability and its a bit too big/powerful for most other applications.

You may well be right about it being hooky, look at the photo of the engine plate - the last digit has been tampered with ! You wouldn't think that anybody would be brazen or stupid enough to advertise it in toto over here - in pieces , perhaps yes.

If it had been British Forces stock and anything near serviceable or in good condition it would have been either canabalised for parts by the operator or disposed of by DESO and it heirs and sucessors. The description would seem to indicate that it was damaged and cosmetically repaired and then used for training purposes - At RAF Halton or such like. So, its only value would be as scrap.

I would suggest that its a bit pricey for scrap.

Someone is bound to buy that then go to Halfrauds by some Spanners and a Jack and low and behold it will be sat in some Chavs Corsa/Saxo/Astra and will no doubt be able to outrun the the SR71 blackbird whilst still returning 186MPG:rolleyes:
