Bargain Black Magic Colour Coded Grille

Featured Replies

Ok, I am doing a budget colour coded grille, not because I'm skint! But because I am a traditionally tight Yorkshireman!Grille on eBay cost £18 delivered....This is the complete grille chrome surround, black plastic slats, vrs and skoda badges in place...All taken apart successfully without any damage. Two rattle cans purchased from Halfords (Primer and Black Magic) I already have a nearly full can of clear lacquer which cost about £12....Chrome grille has been scrubbed down, cleaned and first coat of primer applied....All in this could cost £30.........I'd say that's a bargain!

All primed now....It won't be a bargain if I make a balls up of the next 2 coats!

I always find its hard to get a mirror finish - like the bodywork - with rattle cans - always seems to be dull even after 5 coats of laquer

I saw that grill on ebay, was the hairline crack bad at all...?

Yeah, that's what I was wondering??

dont both of you start a bidding war against each other. you could try something like aradyte or some other plastics glue and try and fuse the crack together.

Should this tread not be in the For Sale section? :D:thumbup::confused:

it does look sweet. guess its a new way to spot a brisky member now

Hairline crack not noticeable at all, it doesn't flex and open the crack either. I bought it to use the chrome part with my existing grille, in such g cond it isn't necessary, 2 complete grilles.....I can't believe it only went for 11.50!!!!

Why would this be in the for sale section? This grille isn't for sale....just having a makeover......
