Thank you and goodnight!

Featured Replies

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me with the problems I have had with my Felicia. It was good to know my car was not unique in its symptoms, and heartwarming to see so many of you posting useful information. Thanks, guys. The problems were eventually solved by She Who Knows Best, by the simple expedient of getting another car!

Having had my attempts to return a favour deleted by Forum Bosses, I am now leaving and will not be back. I trust I am not the only one who thinks twelve quid is a lot to pay for one private individual to say he is flogging one item? Ah, well.

There are other reasons for joining Freedom too.

If you decide to stick wround though you'll find this forum a good laugh.

such as.......? Information on Freedom is a little sparse, as are the rules on advertising. The section on how and why to advertise deals purely with commercial ventures. There is only a snippet at the top of the For Sale forum that mentions Freedom.

Considering Ebay charge £12.99 for a 28 day classified ad to sell a car (for just one item), £12 is perhaps not so bad as you think (although many more potential buyers on ebay no doubt). I believe there is free advertising available at www.skoda-forum.com (although not sure if you have to make 100 posts or something first).

£12 thats 12 for the year and you can sell your other posessions for no additional fee

Other benefits of freedom? Free Briskoda car sticker, access to the Briskoda freedom section, discounts on RAC membership and carbulbs. Plus your name goes green.

But its up to you if you stick around or not never mind join freedom.

Have you forgotten something.....

.

Well if you had joined freedom to start, then you could have posted in 'ask a tech' and your £12 spent may have saved you buying a new car.................

I thought you said you weren't coming back ????

What are you still doing here then ???

Well if your missus won then you prob didnt like the Felicia much in the first place and your missus prob wants a Corsa or something just as nasty.

Hope it gets sold to a good home.

BTW Simply getting another car isn't a "quick fix"

And no-one complains that they can't sell anything or ask a tech wiothout being a freedom member.

They're the rules and we all abide by them.

i hear some of what your saying. i was a freedom member for a long(ish) time, however i have chosen not to renew the greeness of my name. because as you say, i feel £12 per annum is a little steep. maybe as a one off joining fee with a smaller annual renewal would be a better option.

but.. this is not MY forum, and i dont make the rules. however i am sure the site admin take into account any feedback be it constructive or not.

i hope your new car does you well, evan if it dosent have the personality of a good old felly.

all the best and goodbye.

Fair enough.

Personally I think 12 quid a year is a bargain for the amount of advice given out here.

But I don't see it as paying for a service, just as a way of contributing back for the running of the site.

It's entirely voluntary and I have no issue with anyone who doesn't want to pay for Freedom membership.

Just close the door on the way out please mate ...... leave the light on though :)

and 11 posts since June 06 ........ 2 of them here :)

I’m green and I don’t even have a Skoda. Somebody has to pay for the facility that is Briskoda, these server thingies don’t grow on trees……………or do you know different Mr Turbocroat? I have never asked a tech or sold anything on here either, even when I did own a Skoda, I also have to put up with all the childish cr4p that is said about BMWs and I am subsidising the non Freedom members to say it!!!

I must be off my rocker……… (no comments please)
