Getting Turbo Back System

Featured Replies

I am getting myself a turbo back stainless system, i already have the Carbonio induct kit aswell as the forge 007p valve, this will be the first stainless i've had on any car as up until i purchased my vrs i was never really interested in modifying at all. So my question is how do i go about explaining the type of noise i want from the exhaust do i litterally just say: i want it relitively loud but dont want to give pensioners heart attacks as i come down the road? I also intend on getting it remapped.

You get extra comedy points for explaining it in the most surreal terms possible..

'I want it to sound like a small but very annoyed punk grizzly bear.. maybe one that's just received a letter from the inland revenue demanding extra money, but toned down a bit because he had a really good night in the company of a foxy lady grizzly bear he's been following for months. Only it was in a rock club, so it has to reflect that a bit, and I'd also like overtones of roadmending equipment and a whiff of hollyhocks.'

Sorry :)

I'd start by asking them to suggest one that would approximate the sound of the standard one you have on the car, and then you can work up from there - they're probably going to be at home with the relative differences between products, if not necessarily able to specify them in absolute terms.

Start by going to one of the makers who specialise in making exhausts for the model of car that you own, these makers include Blueflame or Miltec, and start thinking about if your new musical note will strangle the engine and defeat the object of the exercise, or allow it to breath how it should and improve performance?

Yes , go to meets and see what other people have fitted

Go for a drive in a couple to help make your mind up

cheers for the praise folks

I would have bought the Milltek catback by now, but I don't like the oval tailpipe design.

Twin rounds look very nice, or even a single round...
