ROOMSTER IS PACKED WITH FAMILY GOODIES

  • Family Pack worth £1,500 free on Roomster 2
  • Roomster is extremely practical, competitively priced and now full of goodies

Škoda has just made its family friendly MPV even better by adding a whole host of goodies to the Roomster 2, completely free of charge.

With value for money, low running costs and high fuel efficiency topping the wish list of more and more car buyers, families opting for the Roomster 2 are now getting £1,500 worth of additional equipment in a fun and economical car.

The Family Pack is designed to offer even more comfort to a family on the move thanks to features such as panoramic sunroof, acoustic rear parking sensors, metallic paint, sunset glass and electric rear windows.

“Our revolutionary MPV gives families everything they need from a car – practicality, value and style. The Roomster 2 is a popular family choice which is why we are offering the ‘Family Pack’ on this trim,” says Warren Richards, Product Marketing Manager at Škoda.

The Roomster 2, priced from just £11,630 OTR, is already extremely well equipped with 15 " ‘Avior’ alloy wheels, air conditioning, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, electric front windows, remote central locking, curtain airbags and a trip computer all included as standard.

Škoda’s clever MPV features bundles of space, impressive fuel economy and great visibility for passengers thanks to raised rear seats enabling small children to see out of oversized rear windows. Split into a driving room in the front and a spacious and airy living room in the rear, the Roomster is a fun car for drivers and passengers alike.

The vehicle’s efficient fuel consumption results in lower day-to-day running costs and reduced environmental impact. The 1.4TDI 80bhp engine can achieve up to 62.8mpg and emit just 135g/km of CO2, providing a cheaper, cleaner drive.

To book a test drive or find out more about the Roomster please visit www.skoda.co.uk or contact your local Škoda retailer.

It's in paragraph 3 of the press release......;)

 I read it so many times too! :P

 Blooming typical, happens so often after I have bought the thing!!

The Family Pack that I really could do with would be-automatic upholstery cleaner, grubby boot remover, apple core/banana skin disposal. As an after thought, a sound proof barrier between driver and passengers (at least until they have fallen asleep).

And as for seat belt warnings-if only she would give me time to put the thing on before the blindingly obvious is vocalised.

Otherwise, 8000 miles now on the clock and we are very happy together.

I might even go in for small removals as a side line. Quite a number of family and friends appreciate the load space and versatile seating arrangements.

right chuffed:thumbup::thumbup:

I was wondering why they call it the 'Family Pack' as I can't think of anything family friendly there really unless they are on about the 'Skoda Family'

Exactly, I missed it too as it has nothing to do with being a family car apart for the parking sensors for mothers. :sofahide:

A novel sales pitch/promotion but IMHO the 'Buy a 2' but 'Get a 3 or Scout' that was running for the last quarter was a better offer. ;)

I'd stick to the Octavia II forum, Tom; its safer (you know us blokes are not meant to be able to multi task!).

Skoda certainly are pushing Roomsters at the moment, make them very good value buys. I've got a Polar Blue Scout on it's way to the showroom. That's going to look seriously funky in the showroom, think I ordered it with 17" wheels. Hmmmm cool.

Hmmm, sales must be down; that being the reason most 'special offers' are made. Pity.

John

Sales are certainly down, but these offers are good for the customers. Plus I like them as it gives us the edge over some of the competition when we get these great offers to use.

For the first 9 months of the year, Skoda sales are only down by 200 cars on the same period for 2007, so they aren't performing that badly.

Get some up please as you get this in... Thanx!

I'd say that is bloody fantastic compared to the rest of the motor manufactures!

Roomsters are selling, I've missed 3 cracking deals now; figure juggling and being away when the call came in...Why could cruise control not be standard. /smacks head.

i can see why. the glass roof ive always found is a winner with kids of all ages, they are so used to having little light that the roof is always getting them smiling whilst in the back of the car.

The parking sensors are great for when the car is shared and maybe not everyone knows where the back of the car is :) makes parking up in tescos a breeze, even with a couple of kids who are busy looking up at the glass roof.

Sunset glass, gives the family privacy, especially when they have got lots of kids gear in the back overflowing into the car. also it gives protection against bright sunlight when they are younger (how many people use the stick on tacky versions?)

Rear electric windows are a god send if you get yoour little terrors in the back messing about with the windows. you can shut them off from their little hands, so instead they can go back to looking out the glass roof, again ;)

and finally metallice paint is for mum and dad. they may of had to forego buying the 2 seater sports car as the kids wont fit int he back, so why make them have to look at a unatractive colour?

ive always thought the roomster is the perfect car for the average 2+2 family. i'd have the scout in my showroom now (even without the kids!) as the last time i had one, it was the best most versatile car ive ever owned. it got admiring looks and lots of smiles from people and i always wondered what a nice set of suspension mods and tuning box would do for it :D

and i always wondered what a nice set of suspension mods and tuning box would do for it :D

well, there is some evidence to suggest that it allows them to hussle along quite nicely, lowered on 17's it has quite an aggressive look to it from some angles (granted not all, it still looks down right ugly from a straight side on shot) . Not bad at all for a man who has a wife + 2 kids and still wants to have fun when out on his own :D

Went through the lights at blackpool a week last Saturday and the kids loved the panoramic roof, they got to relax and take it all in....
