I have both the 360 and a PS3 (obviously need to improve social life) and I very rarely ever use the 360 as the games I have for it are not much fun unless you play online and I didn't want to fork out for the online gaming, plus I can't watch movies on it at night as the thing is so noisey. The PS3 is a better overall console I think even though they are still pretty pricey.

nah, the 360 is a better overall console but the PS3 is probably the better overall multimedia device

Blu-ray only won because SONY baught the victory

and cheesy monkey ofcourse sony are going to very little returns of broken consoles as very few have been bought and most of the ones that have been bought are never used

What and MS didn't sell every first gen X-BOX at a loss?

That would also be buying a victory no?

Plus IIRC I said the repair people had bought in a whole new team to do repairs. The issues I heard of sounded more like somebody didn't test the device. Not saying they did or didn't but there were loads of them coming in for repair.

isn't pretty much every new console sold (at least to beging with) at a loss? the money's made with media/software licensing

FWIW the Wii wasn't sold at a loss and I can't comment on the other consoles, but IIRC they were not sold at a loss in the days of nintendo vs sega.
