OpenSource DB

Featured Replies

I have a friend who wishes to open and maintain some Access databases but has an old version of Access, and has just moved to Vista. He doesn't particularly want to have to buy a new version of Access.

Does anyone know of anything OpenSource, that will open and edit the databases? I don't believe OpenOffice's Base program supports them.

Cheers,

Steve

Which version does you friend have, most versions including the early ones have no problems with vista.

Think he's using Access 97.

That sounds spot-on Val, nice one

Especially as it sounds like you can do some basic editing and changes. I think he just has addresses etc stored, so nothing mega-complex.

I'll pass this on, thanks again.
