Available from today,

Portal.

Its a 700MB Download, and will cost you 1200 microsoft points.

Seems quiet impressive from the demo, but 1200 MS points is quiet steep but maybe worth it if you dont have the PC version.

what is portal?

is it that game that the demo was free on steam?

Its a First person perspective type game, where you seem to walk around completing puzzles and using your initiative. You do get to shoot through walls and things.

As with XBLA games, you can download the demo and then buy it on the console if you like it.

yes tried it on steam... not enough cars in it for me

Seems strange that's allowed to breach the XBLA download size limit. Grabbing it as we speak anyway, I never got around to buying the original :)

There's a good 2d flash version knocking around somewhere - 40 levels, including some absolute swines :)

Portal is awesome :D

(have already completed it on PC... working through the prelude at the mo)

Demo's downloading at the min. Will probably end up getting it!

Thinking about it, the download is priced at around a tenner.. how much do second hand copies of the Orange Box go for?

THE CAKE IS A LIE!

This was a triumph

I'm making a note here:

HUGE SUCCESS

It's hard to overstate

My satisfaction.

Been trying to get that tune on mp3. it's awesome!

The game can be completed in about 3-4 hours but to get all the challanges and acheivements will keep you going for months!

It's on iTunes so you could always buy it for the princely sum of 79p!

Can get it in rockband and guitar hero too :D

Aperture Science

We do what we must

because we can.

For the good of all of us.

Except the ones who are dead.

But there's no sense crying

over every mistake.

You just keep on trying

till you run out of cake.

And the Science gets done.

And you make a neat gun.

For the people who are

still alive.

I'm not even angry.

I'm being so sincere right now.

Even though you broke my heart.

And killed me.

And tore me to pieces.

And threw every piece into a fire.

As they burned it hurt because

I was so happy for you!

Now these points of data

make a beautiful line.

And we're out of beta.

We're releasing on time.

So I'm GLaD. I got burned.

Think of all the things we learned

for the people who are

still alive.

Go ahead and leave me.

I think i prefer to stay inside.

maybe you'll find someone else

to help you.

maybe Black Mesa...

THAT WAS A JOKE, HA HA, FAT CHANCE.

Anyway this cake is great.

It's so delicious and moist

look at me still talking when theres science to do

when i look out there

it makes me glad I'm not you

i've experiments to run

there is research to be done

on the people who are

still alive.

and believe me I am still alive

I'm doing science and I'm still alive

i feel fantastic and I'm still alive

while your dying ill be still alive

and when your dead i will be still alive

still alive

still alive

PC World have a 2 for £30 offer on all £19.97 titles, and the Orange Box is in it! team it up with Condemned 2, Lego Star Wars Complete Saga or Mass Effect and you've got the entire series of HL2 games for £15 instead of one for a tenner, and a great second title too :)
