Cruise control not working

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Once again I need your valuable help.

I am carrying 2006 octavia II Vrs 2.0T 200ps. I recently changed my tyres to winter tyres. Then in the information display I set the setting to winter tyres. After that I reset the tyre pressure monitoring system and fiddle around with the ESP. Turning it on and off several times etc. Today I noticed my cruise control is not working at all I reset all the settings to their previous settings respectively. But it is still not working. Anybody having clue is it fault or some settings are wrong in my car. Please help here in switzerland dealears really rip apart your pockets.

There was a post recently about cruise control not working, the problem as I recall was the switch on the stalk. Trying a search & see if the thread comes up.

Agree with above my CC kept switching off or not engaging a new stalk fixed it. Sadly the car was just out of warranty :-(

I don't think Terry's problem is the same. The symptoms with the cruise should be intermittent problems. Not completely dead.

Just take it to dealers so they can check if there's a fault code logged.

Also maybe a dumb question but are you sure your cruise is on? The switch on top of the cruise stalk is on the left?

Could it be that if you tell the car it has winter tyres in maxidot... that it disables cruise for some reason ?

This makes sense, I certainly wouldn't use CC when driving on ice.
