Believe it or not but after owning our 55 plate 140 dsg Elegance i have never looked into what is available in it.Today whilst waiting for my Wife i thought i would see what it has. First the booklet is not the same as our radio,book shows FM/AM we have not got that switch, book say's RDS, i cannot find that . So was there several types fitted?. ours is October 05.I would like to receive RDS so any idea's ?.

Well that fell on deaf ears, am i the only one with a differant book on the radio as to what we have fitted. Only wanted to know can i get RDS on my Stream.

The Stream MP3 version in our 07 defintiely has RDS but is a later model than the one you have. I would suggest you need to find someone with a similar unit and cadge thier manual but I'll have a look in our manual to see if it is setting that can be "switched on" for you.

If it shows the station name in the centre its already got RDS

I think you are confusing RDS with Traffic Information, iirc there's a TA button on the stream to switch this on / off

Your right Traffic information is activated by pressing the TP button, bottom left of radio.
