But you couldn't get a 1.4TSi for a couple 'o hundred quid! You could get a running 4AGE for not much and it should be making 120bhp with just a good service. Would sound great with a short straight exhaust too!

Fiat twin Cam or Ford Zetec is way to go. Ive been running a 1987 Rapid for last 6 years with a Lancia Twin Cam. But now I have restored a 1989 136 Rapid and am either go Lancia 2.0ie or Ford Zetec. I have all the work done for the Lancia, plate flywheel etc but i cant get a whole car at a resonable price e.g Dedra, Thema etc. Im looking at 2.0 Zetec engines at the moment to see how long it will take me to make a plate, flywheel, exhaust etc.
