New Battery Fitting

Featured Replies

If i replace the battery , with a new one , is there anything that needs reprogramming , other than the Radio code ie does it need any vag com resets . Thanks

Just the radio code iirc.

I may be wrong though:O

Replaced mine twice this year (now upgraded in the hope of one lasting!) and as for standard stuff needed nothing more than reseting the time (the radio shouldnt need the code if it stays in the same car and is the standard radio) As far as any ECU mods etc. I'm not sure as mine's standard.

What engine?

If its petrol you really need to readapt the throttle body and egr systems with diagnostic equipment.

Won't it sort itself out after a given time ???

Its a 1.9 tdi 130 bhp 2004 model , just notived that the start is a bit sluggish in the cold mornings now , and being 4 yers old , thought it best to consider replacing for new .
