Rear Octy window stuck down

Featured Replies

Hi all

My rear passenger window went down and stayed down today, any ideas how i might get the window up without the motor working, as its snowing here and i need to seal the car, any ideas ? I have checked the fuses and all other window are working fine.

Cheers

I think that you may need to replace the window regulator. In the meantime can you pull the glass up and use strong waterproof tape to hold it in the closed position?

As above should pull up in the mean time. A bit of umph with a bit of care required!

This'll help if you need to take the door apart:

Hi Rob,

Great cats, are they skoda approved mechanics for accessing difficult areas? :)lol.

The same happened to me one very wet night and 260 miles from home, a long nosed pair of pliers from the boot to pull the glass up and a rubber wedge shaped door stop from the glove box soon sorted it. Luckily the car was still under warranty at the time.

I still carry these two indispensable tools in the car.
