Possibly some items of interest....

Anyone tried the +50% headlight bulbs? A steal at £3.99 a pair if they are any good.

Does seem good. Think I might nip in my "local" one en-route to work and grab the compressor. Seems a good price. :)

Cheers Andy, might well have a look in next week :)

I like the look of that wheel stand!

Steve

I quite liked the look of the screen covers not sure if they'll be any good but cheap enough for a bash.

You might get an even better price if you buy enough of them for all the sets of wheels you have!

H4's are a bargain and worked well in an friends fiesta assuming they are same as the pack we got from there.

Not dropping any hints like, Steve  but they got A-Z of Wales :P

Hmmm, think I'll make a detour on the way home next week.

Strangely, that was what I was planning :D

Yet again Val, your cryptic nature has me baffled. Wales??

Anywhere will do, Steve - just not England :D

How did you know I had a thing  for crypts ?

The funny thing is that there's no Z in the Welsh alphabet :P

I'm 34 years old lived in wales all my life and I didn't know that ......why :confused::confused:

Thanks for the heads up, think ill get that trolley jack and compressor, always handy.

I'd avoid the trolley jack myself. The lift height will be very poor.

Does the job, I bought one about 2 years ago and it's fine for the odd job. And it hasn't squashed me yet

Im far from even an amateur spanner monkey so only need it for switching tyres round, checking under the car, for use if needed basically. So itll do all i need and a damn site easier than using the screw jack.

be quick ,LIDL good stuff sell,s out quickly ,lost out on a printer the other week ,cheer Melly boy.

So, who went down there's then? I went down mine at 8am sharp thinking there'd be a fight to get to all the stuff! Bloody place was pretty much deserted so I helped myself to one of the compressors (they're cute and small!) for £4.99, a set of H7 spares for £3.99 and a frost-proofing mat thing for the windscreen for about £1.50. The quality of the wrench looked shocking so avoided that. Car seat covers seemed reasonable too.

I completely forgot that was today so im going to pop down on the way home from work tomorrow, doubt there will be anything left though.

My store had loads of this stuff in stock, didn't seem be selling that quickly to be honest!

I got the compressor, antifreeze tester, spare bulb set (Osram) and digital caliper (not listed).

Will pop down to the local one over the weekend, see what's what. There's not that many local really, so isn't the sort of place I pass en-route anywhere.

Steve

There was loads left at mine, got a few bits. Trolley Jack, loading straps, 2 x compressors (for my work mate), spare bulb set, extendable wheel lever, all seems decent kit.

Never bought a fire extinguisher before, so don't know if this is good or not, but Stafford Lidl had 1kg ones for £4.99, reduced from £6.99. Powder ones supposed to be suitable for all types of fire.

In case anyones interested.

Powder is the correct type for car fires. I also think CO2 ones work, but perhaps not as well?
