Witson's "MFD3" on a budget is in

Featured Replies

Well, some of you know I have been tinkering with a Witson satnav, and well, the Witson 720 for the Mk2 Octavia goes straight in, no messing around and the standard surround fits around it perfectly.

Bluetooth operation is ok, I have installed Igo8 PNA for satnav and it works peachy :) DVDs play fine as well as DivX movies.

No photo's tonight I'm afraid, just had to much to do, but there is a thread in the Octy 2 section for anyone interesting in looking at the unit

As I say, it's gone straight in, the GPS antenna is on the metal beam under the dash (magnetic mount) and it picks up Sats no problem. The comments on the other thread re the interface are true, but it looks OEM, works perfectly, is touch screen and ticks all the box's.

Pics in the vRoomster sometime tomorrow folks
