My special winter wheels

Well, they're definatly differant, the paint is "Flourescent Projekt Paint". Just wanted to do something a bit more interesting than steels. The tyres are actually 65's on the back and 60's on the front, only noticed that today, and they are horrible to drive on. Think I'll just get some others for it, and drop the profile right down. The light on the back are getting changed back to standard facelift ones, I've just got these off a mate as one of the originals is smashed and not bothered to get a new one yet.

wat ever posessed you to do that..????

If you're changing, I'd advise a 195/50/15 or 195/45/15.

Yeah I was gonna knock it down to 45's. Hopefully will handle loads better with them on.

I seen one black fabia RS with green highlights on black oem wheels today! looked pretty smart!!:P

near morrisons in cov. :)

Erm..................................

Ok, I just double checked, it's not April 1st. Its not a p'shop, you actually did that didn't you?

A truly epic look you have there.

he-he - excellent....

To complete the Winter safety makeover, you need to paint the underside of your car brilliant orange. :eek::D

As Furbies never have normal accidents and end up on their roofs. :rolleyes: It'll help the helicopter pilots rescue you should you have an accident in the snow.:D

There's nothing wrong with those wheels!

Oh, you painted them green!:(

LOL !!!! What a practical yet exciting idea !!!! LOL !!!!!!!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::D

Interesting, when I put the 195 55 16 wheels on my vRS, the back left wheel rubbed (on standard suspension...

I assume yours don't rub?

at least no one will want to steal it

Photoshop me thinks looking at the close up green then the later far more lurid green ;)

Yeah, thats gota be a PhotoShop.

No no rubbing, they're only 15's with giant ballon tyres.

And No, it's not a photoshop, they just look a lot brighter outside as it's "Flourescent" paint. Look at the Golf...it's catchy!

That' strange. When was you car made? Mine is January 2006. Are you sure you have 195/65-15 tires on it?

The problem I encountered was the bigger radius of the tyre (7.4%), not the width/offset.

I'll post a picture...

I seen it and it actually looks good..... no need for sunglasses......

110% positive, 195/65's on the rear and 195/60's on the front. I thought they were 55's at 1st 'til I looked properly. It's June '05 mate. It's also lowered 30mm on KW springs. No rubbing at all, on either set of wheels.

Kerr- Thanks, must be a northerner thing, coz everyone up here seems too love them, including SWMBO:eek:lol.

Lurid colour! :eek:

Those tyre are oversized with 195/65's on the rear and 195/60's on the front. Correct tyre size is 195/50 15; isn't it?

However, the tyres as fitted also look a tad oversized on the wheels as the sidewalls look squeezed in; as if the wheels are 5.5J but the tyres need 6J or 6.5J. Are they?

This is what I'm talking about:

These pictures are with original wheels and tires. 195/65-15 have a 21.8mm bigger radius, which is just enough for the tire to touch this bit of plastic when the wheel moves upwards.

This only occurs on the left side, on the right it's ok:

Just checked my Brochure/Specification sheets; teh correct OE sizes for tyres on the Fabia I are;

185/60 14, 195/50 15 and 205/45 16

If you have fitted 195/60 15 or 195/65 15 they are therefore 'oversized' tyres.

I've seen that Golf before!!!!! lol

green wheels are cool.
