Spent last hour searching but no definate answers...

What clutch has been tried and tested in an Octavia 5 speed running 280bhp and what will be near on 300lb/ft torque?

Also who sells them? Will more than likely change to smf as opposed to dmf.

I'd recon best go fo SMF and something like a spec stage 2 02a clutch

awesome gti do the ECS tuning range.

they tend to be alot cheaper than the specs

if you peek on the ecs weby, awesoem can get them all

I also have a Spec clutch and its perfect for my car. Was fitted in preparation for the Hybrid K03s. Should hopefully see 260 - 280 reliable BHP so needed a clutch to suit. Nice feel and smooth engagement.

Will post a video up of the rattle tho Can put some people off.

PS - I have the spec stage 3 kit.

i think the standar dmf is something like 32bls and the oe g60 smf is about 21lbs give or take a lb or so

i was peekign at the standard g60 weight, due to concerns and little birds saying about gearbox rattle ?

some people say its nothing until you get really light , things like 7lbs alu smf

but i get bugged by things easy LOL

is that 280 & 300lbs a jbs04 stage 2 by anychance?

and if you want to peek, heres the spec site, enter your octy and then have a butchers at what the stages can handle

Hello. Yeah it can be pesky but it only does in when you foot is off the clutch in neutral and when you think about it, how often is that?

No, its not the JBS one, it will be a Turbo Dynamics unit.
