Bunch of monkeys!!! I asked for the specific oil filter for my car and I have some weird stumpy affair? I asked them to double check as there where two different kinds listed for the 1.8T one for upto 2001 and one after that. The earlier one looks a lot similar to the one that currently resides in my engine i.e long. Gonna go back and get my money back only went there as I have a trade card.

Yes they did this to me earlier this year I even confirmed at the parts desk as to which one, got home jacked car up and thought oh dear or something like that. Part you need is HOF250

My nearest dealer is either Darlington or Harrogate i.e 40mins in a car. Halfords is closer and I have a trade card so overall it works out much cheapererererer

What no VW, SEAT or Audi dealers closer?

I think there is a VW dealer but as I live and work in the sticks timing is generally the issue i.e I can only really get there in the evening (when the parts dept is shut) May have to plan a bit further in advance methinks lol. How much is a dealer filter then???

New filter was £4.70 trade to me

Genuine VAG oil filters are only about £6 from dealers aren't they, maybe less from places like TPS
