Buying etiquette (and also Solutions)

Don't forget to get your ins sorted out before you pick it up and send them the covering letter. They need an ins certificate to get it taxed.

Unless you opt for the free 7 days insurance that they offer on all new cars of course!

No reason to not take Skoda up on the 7 day thing :) my insurance is through the roof as it is, need any freebies possible

aaand a big hand for Skoda solutions dropping the GFRV of the vRS CR DSG on the PCP deal I agreed last friday by £900, passing those onto me by upping the monthly payments, and putting the car out of my company allowance budget.:thumbdwn::thumbdwn::mad:

So annoyed right now.

I mean, ffs, Solutions is 8.9% as it is and theres no other freebies

Right now you can get a mazda 6 on 6.9% with 3 years free servicing, and a touchscreen sat nav and Skoda are crying to me how car finance has taken some big hits?

DTD told me everyones had gone up, I only just managed to get the 8% rate which changed in Oct to 8.9%.

Whats the GFRV again?

Maybe dropping the xenons will bring it back in line? :)

was £6,600 now £5,700

everyones going up, LOL, even if thats the case its all cheaper than skoda.

cant really fault the Mazda package for instance

shame i dont like the 6 as much as the vRS

At least you'll owe less at the end of the loan period. Long term its not too bad.

Kinda irrelevant, seen as the company is paying my allowance

ergo, the monthly payment is more the critical factor, not the GFRV.

The decreased GFRV fudges my payments.

Its a ****take really, the CR TDI has been out what 4 months?

I suppose it depends on whether or not you'll end up doing 2 services on the variable. If you add mini services in between the variable then it'll be a lot more I would guess.

You dont need mini services. You seem to have been trained into thinking a certain way.

Based on your own investigation, and assuming 12k/year servicing will only cost £140 for 3yrs ownership.

Someone did put up details of when fixed is best and when variable is best based on mileage. IIRC more than 25 miles a day, variable is the way.

Sorted the finance?

Yeah I did in the end, via a different company.

Got them to match the previous Skoda deal.
