All my windows have just opened

Featured Replies

Just popped out my car and opened the front drivers door and to my surprise all of the windows came down... Is this normal as it's never happened before.

dost sound normal at all, were you accidently holding the button on your key depressed? as mine all come down when I do that!

A few things to check such as mentioned above about holding the unlock button for too long and the other one is to check the key barrel in the doors as sometimes they break and stick in the open position which would also cause this to happen

My car has key operated c/l, will this make any differace?

Sounds like you have a latch fault or a lock fault does the lock feel stiff if so lubricate it with WD40 or similar product if not you might be able to sort it if you take the lock assembally out and do the same to the opening on the latch were the paddle from the lock goes, let me know how you get on!!

You may have held the key over for too long - when unlocking if you hold the key over & the windows will open, when locking hold the key over & the windows will shut. Release at any point in the up or down movement to stop the movement. Down useful to vent the car on a very hot day (ie rarely/never) & up movement when you are locking up & find a window left open.
