Collected it this morning, from Marc at Platinum Skoda in Bath (who's a credit to the firm, BTW -- a pleasure to deal with).

Fabia 2/85 in satin grey, replacing a LHD Golf GTi that I'd owned from new 22 yrs ago, first in France and the last 15 here in the UK; driving back home from the showroom after all those years used to sitting on the "wrong" side felt quite strange (mostly because I was instinctively looking up to the right for the mirror!).

Hope to be meeting you all here as I call in over coming weeks and months.

Now for the rest of the evening browsing calmly through the owner's manual; Marc's familiarization tour round the car, thorough as it was, did tend rather to be information overload:)
