HELP!! Loud buzzing noise

Featured Replies

 i really dont no how to explain this as it seems very weired, was driving home from work, went round a roundabout and indicated left to go off as i went off i went over some bumps and you could hear this clicking noise then it turnt into a loud buzzing noise, and it kept cummin and going so i tried turning off radio cause thought i might be speaker fault, that didnt work so i turnt off the climatetronic aswell the car was silent apart from the loud buzzing noise!!!!!:confused::confused:

it seemed to go away when you slow down but soon got up to speed again (between 90 and 100) it was there and loud!!! thats why its so hard to explain if anything it sounded like it was on the passenger side of the car but under the dash, and when i turned the wipers on as they moved it went then came back again!!!

it was also the same as when a fly gets caught buy your window. #

has anyone had this? and can you plz share me your knowledge on how to get rid of this annoying noise

thanxs ian:thumbup:

Simple answer is not to over 89 mph...LOL

Try the wiper linkage to see if anything is caught up under the scuttle panel, or try tightening up the nuts on the linkage in case they have come loose.

you hav'nt got a tear or split on the passenger side wiper rubber?. It could be that buzzing and would explain it getting louder the faster you go,and how it comes and goes when the wipers are on,as it probably only vibrates when the wiper is parked.

ive had a look round the wipers 2day and they are all fine, it sounded electrical!!! just the way the buzzing was, it wouldnt be a faulty door speaker or tweeter would it? i did have some leafs stuck in the plastic that suronds the front screen but nothin major

it seemed to go away when you slow down but soon got up to speed again (between 90 and 100)

Is it an electrical static interference sound coming through the speakers which peaks with engine rpm?

Could it be a wheel bearing? They can buzz loudly when they're on their way out, particularly at certain speeds.

Or a faulty relay, resonating? The original hazard / indicator relay (part of the hazard switch) has been replaced by a new revision because it was a known weak point.
