xbox? ps3 or wii? help!!!

Featured Replies

hi everyone which is the best console you can get in terms of graphical performance, cost of games, games available etc etc i already have a blue ray player so thinking along the lines of the xbox 360 with it being only 129 at the moment many thanks for all your help

129 will only get you the arcade version tho.

I have a wii that I haven't played for over a year (since I bought my PS3) though the kids still love it.

From a reliability point of view I would opt for the PS3 (no bias lol)

if it's playing games you're after then it's 360 all the way as decent PS3 exclusives seem to be few and far between. where I've downloaded demos on both the 360 and PS3 they've basically looked exactly the same or the 360 has looked slightly better

again, no bias as we've got both a PS3 and 360 sat under our telly (and there's a wii upstairs that i've not really thought about playing on)

:)

thanks for your replies so far i have heard that the xbox has more exclusive games but the playstation has more available as a whole etc as i said i dont need a blue ray player just a core gaming machine why do you need the bigger hard drives? many thanks

Just to upset the apple cart, the Wii is a fantastic machine just for sheer family fun, there are some excellent games out there and some new releases come out at under £20 at play and Game. Graphically, it's inferior to the 360 and the PS3, but it's small, silent, neat and is a riot to play.

We have got a 360 and a Wii and the Wii get's more use by the entire family overall. It all depends on what you want? if it's graphics, then you need a PS3 or 360, even though my PC blows both out of the water graphically :) (ok at massive cost), but the PC is for the FPS / Strategy games and the Wii is as mentioned just for fun and casual games..... get's my vote

Wii is probably the most fun as a group game but prefer playing games on the PS3 for some reason and also it plays BlueRay which is good, I haven't played my 360 or ages now.

Wii for us, as computer games are a social pastime, not a solo hobby for SWMBO and I. But if you're a bit more into gaming than we are, it's probably not even worth considering...

There's a lad in the office has a wii, he says he never plays it unless he's got friends round when it's the best thing since sliced bread.

But he's just bought Quantum of Solace and claims its brilliant as a solo game with the wii controllers.
