DM Keith Skoda Strike back !

Featured Replies

My Furby is in the garage (again) for the doors leaking (That were supposed to be repaired) and guess what yet again they have over promised and under delivered to me.

Dropped the car in on Saturday morning at 8am said it would be ready Saturday afternoon. Was it of course not !!! (Thought some how)

So they said first thing monday morning it would be, was it ? "NO" Did they ring to let me know this ? "NO" I had to call them at 4.30pm today to find out what the hell is going on. Answer "not sure"

If this is how they treat their customers then they cant have many left !

I'm trying to use them less and less recently as I find they always do this to me.

IMHO theyre just a joke and extracting the urine out of me !!!!

they sound like right tits !

Its maybe time to find another dealer ?

Just have a crack at the doors yourself then at least you know they are done right.did mine using the guide on fabia vrs .com .The car is now lush and dry and doesnt smell of wet dog:)

Hi,

Are you talking about the Leeds garage by any chance? I had various issue along the same lines, eventually I gave up. I now take my car to Benfield in Harrogate, worth the extra miles for a decent service and peace of mind. Contact is David in Skoda service (as they also service Fords).

Mike.

Mike.

Its at Wakefield at the moment but I've found its the same level of service right across them all.

P.s.

Went to the one in Middlesbrough a week ago though and they were so helpful it was unbelievable as you would normally expect the DM Keith treatment but Ive got to take my hat of to the Guys at Derek Slack Motors Skoda in Middlesbrough. They were so helpful and informative I felt like I'd bought a Rolls Royce and that I was the king of England how they made me feel. :)

I had all 4 doors on my 2007 Fabia vRS sealed under warranty but it took 3 visits to a dealer. The rear nearside door which was the source of water leaking into the car was sealed twice but continued to leak. It was sorted at the third attempt by fitting a new door ancillaries carrier under warranty. You can see the part involved in this link on VRStu's Fabia website.

sealed mines myself too - but imo why should we - obviously a design fault.... my dealer even said that he had never heard of the problem before - (okay)

I'm a noobie and i've heard of this!!! Now way!!!!! Achoo (* insert sneezing noise here) sorry i'm allergic to bull****!

Ive still not had this problem yet.

Ive had bad experiences with my local dealer too.

Some of them are just crap it seems.

just about every single piece has fallen off my fabia at some time or other, but the dealer quite frankly couldn't give a monkeys

Its sickening that they treat us like this. I get this dumb treatment every time. For god sakes I used to work in the Police and I can smell bullpoo a mile off. My opinion of most of the dealers has gone right down hill. I said to the Mrs when the new Furby VRS comes out Im buying it at the lowest possible price and never taking it back into to a Skoda dealer ever again Id rather travel 150 miles to Jabba Sport with the satisfaction of knowing what they say, they will do and also in the agreed time period.

SKODA DEALERSHIPS GET REAL AND STOP TREATING YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS !!!!

UPDATE....

Garage just called to say they (havent fixed it) Apparently they have tested it to see if water is leaking through the door and apparently is not.

WHY THE BEEEEEEEEEEEP ! HELL IS IT SOME HOW RUNNING INTO MY CAR THEN ????

EXTENDED WARRANTY = DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

DM KEITH SKODA = TROUBLE

Conclusion if you want a job doing right do it yourself and dont go to Skoda !

Litttlebull, is it the rear doors that are leaking? As we all know (except some dealers) it is a common problem on the Fabia that the rear doors leak water between the inner face of the door and the door carrier. The symptoms of this leak are dampness on the lower door card, water laying on the door seal & sometimes damp carpets. I repaired one of our rear doors, because the carrier was not flat. I followed the instrustions on VRStu's site and it was a simple job and cured the problem immediately. I tested the repair a few days later by running water from hosepipe over the window.

I fail to see how the dealer can't resolve the water leak problem that is quite easy to fix.

Go to bickertons in Sheffield, bit far away, but no complaints from me.

Going to have a crack at it myself when I get time.

Seriously though and you can ask MikeVRS (He lives round the corner from me) opinion of DM Keith Skoda and believe me its not a good opinion.

Save yourself the stress dont bother going to this garage as they were so unhelpful.

hi if your car is still under warranty then take it to Benfield Skoda in harrogate as i work there and they will fix it no problem.
