Do I need to buy Sensible Shoes now? NEW CAR

Featured Replies

Here is Sedicipog just having a quick inspection to check he hadn’t been off road before….he hadn’t:)

Then I took him off road, all in the interests of testing you understand:D

How do you know it's a "he"?

Looks a bit girly to me :D

Well, that angle makes him look at least giraffedy feet tall; how apposite!! :D

I never thought of it like that. He isn’t quite as big as the shot suggests, more a MPV sort of height rather than Defender loftiness. :P:D

It was incredible having just done 500 miles in him, to step back into Villberpog. I stalled the very first time I tried to move off. Boy is the clutch more positive! I couldn’t hear the engine, the ride seemed limo like and the acceleration was terrific. I think I have found the cheapest way to give your car a performance boost………..buy a slower, rougher second car.

He is a roughty toughty sort of car, and he is definitely male, if a little immature.

Nice moody pics, very good

Where did you take those?

Steve

I've got a 4X4 Octavia & I seem to have very heavy shoes :rofl::rofl:

Thanks. A friend of mine has a commercial garage up in the North East, I took the opportunity of getting it over his inspection pit to have a peek…………..well he did the 'professional eye' type of peek, I just poked bits with my finger as you do. We had just got back from playing in his rather steep wet field, so I was interested to see if I had knocked anything of the underside.:D

It's a Fiat, things fall off without going out on rather steep wet fields........ :P

Well I lost a small screw out of the front plastic sump protector. You can just about make it out on the right of the picture. I should add this is my 5th Fiat (had a Lancia too):D

A glutton for punishment, some would say ;)

One thing that is a very pleasant surprise is the fuel economy. 400 motorway miles at around outside lane speeds (I think you can imagine those) gave 46mpg  very nice bonus.

A man with fine taste. :D

Funnily enough although you don’t see many on the roads, I have seen several up in the North East:)

Ive see a few in Berwick , but not many , its still a pretty rare motor. You dont really even see the Suzuki SX4 much , even though we have a Suzuki garage in town.

I can’t see the Sedici taking off sadly, but I do believe that FIAT has the right idea with 2 small, frugal 4x4s in its line up (and they both have pretty good 4x4 systems).

I actually saw one on the road today.

So they do actually exist, not that I thought you made it up. :P:D

I see plenty of SX4s, but never seen a Sedicicici on the road, and I've been keeping an eye out specially :(
