EGR pipe

Featured Replies

where can i get a EGR bypass pipe??

wern't Jabba going to make one?

heard dieselgeek ones were better

dieselgeek is primarily aimed at the VE engine market, particularly in the USA. The Allard one is developed on their racing TDI (pd130) golf so is great for the job. At the moment, I just don't trust them with all the company shifting about / name changing hence my comment about not paying for it until it is built and ready to ship.

Yeah thats why i recommended the dieselgeek one... the allard likes to 'blow' off too

Not when you use MOFO marine grade 8 bar clips. :D

Ive messaged jabbaport on here and asked about there egr bypass pipe, not heard back yet though. I've also emailed allard too, heard nothing from them as well. I need to get my hands on 1 because my egr valve is knackered and I'm not forking out silly money for a new 1!!!

HELP ME SOMEONE LOL!!

I saw one of these in this months Golf+ or PVW (cant remember which) and though that one of these with a boost gauge along with suspension, rear ARB & PD160 inlet would be a good plan of action for mods!

Call them bud! I had to hassle them by phone. Then finish it off with a bit of samco and a stainless boost pipe ;) :thumbup :P lol

jabba are in the process of making one and the dieselgeek one doesnt fit the pd engine as stated on their website

Got an email back from allard, said that it would take 3-4 days for delivery. Gona get mine ordered!

Let us know if you get good service  The Allard one is the best for the pd130 for sure. You just need to ensure the clip holding the boost pipe to it is strong enough :)

Why's that?

The one I got was badly made and I ended up using it as a template and making a billet one?

the welds were poor and the design of a round pipe into a not-so-round hole wasnt the best imho.

Mine's fine :) I suspect you got one when Lloyd had a hangover ;) Just emphasising it was built and tested on their race cars.

What's that about round into not-so-round. Is the inlet manifold not round then?

Whats the story with emissions lights when running these?

^ you get one

Just comes on and stays on i take it?

Remove dash, go inside dash, take bulb out job?

you get the CEL come on but to be honest who cares about that...

i heard everyone moaning about SMF... i bought one

i heard everyone moaning about bad vibes from the vibrateknics dog bone mount... i bought one...

supose im carazee lol!!:rofl::rofl:

just do it - performance first is always my motto

comes on and off I believe, though whether it does it on all cars I dont know.

I plugged the vaccum pipe onto the EGR on my 04 fabia vrs and didnt get a CEL light after covering 1500 miles of mixed driving?

Also you lose the anti shudder valve and something else which helps prevent the turbo from overunning and blowing up

The flange has a flat on it, making it a kind of D shape, I did send an email of discontent to Allard about it but got nothing in return, guessing thats part of the reason they rolled over their business

Nice

Think its going to be an investment soon.

no you dont lose something that makes your turbo blow up lol

CEL comes on and off...

and you lose the anti-shudder valve which is nothing just feels as if the engine stalls when switching off but the gains in my book outweigh the negatives :)

no more unburnt exhaust gases through my engine thank you very much

I have been told there is some sort of failsafe device contained in the EGR assembley which stops the engine over running after the ignition is turned off.

Im not a techie but someone will confirm this shortly.
