Featured Replies

Does the red paint fade as badly as it does on other makes of car? (Its what is putting me off a red VRS!)Silver ones sell so fast - or are hundreds of miles awayBlack ones always look dirty and show up everymarkRed ones fade??? Not 100% sure!! (hardest colour to match if I get parts painted)Dont really fancy a yellow one!I'd love an Blue SE - but way out of my price range!!!Please put up some pics of yours and help me choose!

Black all the way, pearlescent! Plus looks good dirty in my opinion - ready for a good flaming with that comment lol.

I have black, but if i were to choose again, it would be silver.

:thumbdwn: Whats wrong with yellow??

When I bought mine I only wanted black, but now I've had it a while I like the red as well.

A good wash technique (2 bucket method etc) on the black means it looks really good with none of the usual 'black never looks clean' comments. As for the red, if you look after the paint, use decent cleaners and wax, it won't fade.

Red ones go faster! My paint is fine and it's been in NZ for 3 years with our extra high UV.

It gets polished and waxed once or twice a year and washed regularly.

It's garaged at home though :)

As muich as i moan about mine being black i wouldnt swap it!

When its clean it looks so shiny and when its dirty it looks good too in a weird way not like silver that just goes dull

Not my taste want it to be as subtle as possible - not as blatant as a brick in the face!

I have red(cause it came at the right money), originally I wanted silver and still think silver is the most practical colour. But ignoring sense I would buy yellow just to be a poser.

I think the Fabia looks best in black TBH. But my silver Fabia is growing on me, the paint seems to have kept really well too!

Mine is silver and being a 56 plate mines got colour coded door handles as standard. If you want subtle i would say go for silver, they seem to blend in well if you know what i mean.

I had a black corsa years ago and I said to myself I would never have another black car but I have got one and when its clean and shiney it looks stunning

The black magic skoda paint is really nice probably the nicest black paint Iv seen if that makes any sence at all

Silver shows off the Fabia's shape and the vRS bumpers better than other colours IMO. The yellow does this too, but then you've got the problem of the car being well... yellow! Not to my taste.

I would have had black if I didn't do 25k miles a year, but I went for yellow and I'm loving it.

My Octy vRS estate was red and its a great colour - if thats what you prefer you won't have any problems

Mine's yellow; I think it's the best colour, but then I like to be conspicuous :D

After yellow my favourite colour is red, but then I wouldn't have said that was subtle either :)

If you want to go for subtlety, go for silver ;)

Black! Works everytime

Given choice, I'd quite like a red 'un. Or ultimate choice, a gunmetal one-off!

Black for me....... but i like em all! if i was buying again though, i'd go for either another black one or a red one.

I've had a red one, a silver one and now a blue one.

Silver is anonymous, but hides the dirt well, the blue looks great when polished, but my preference would be red, looks stunning when clean, and doesn't fade if looked after.

( My Mazda is red, and looks the dogs danglies when minted up.)

Silver ;)

Were those pics taken at Lochranza Castle on Arran??

Steve

This has been asked before, and I remember reading that the red supposedly doesn't fade as badly as some other manufacturer's versions of red, so as others have said you just need to look after it.

I originally wanted black, but couldn't find one in my area, and the one I ended up taking a test drive in (that caused me to originally fall in love with the car) was silver, so I ended up buying that one and am glad I did. Hides dirt well, and in my opinion matches the interior colours best and I also think you get a better choice of after market alloys that look decent when you've got a silver car (just my opinion).

Some think it is a common colour, but I've only ever seen one other around my area whereas have seen a few in black, red and yellow. When I was trying to decide, I actually put all the colours together as a screen saver and stared at it for a while to try and help me decide. But my vote still goes with silver.

Silver ;)
