Silver?? Black?? Red?? - What colour??

Featured Replies

Silver :D

Dave, I'm surprised you haven't ended that sentence with - 'do you want to buy it?'

:D

Well i got black, again, cos it come up at a good price at the time. Now i have it, i think i`d only swap it for a yellow one, only because theres hardly any about and im a snob like that. I like red, but think silver *can* make a car look very bland, however, some of the examples on here show a few small mods can change that. Blue is stunning but obviously ltd.

Were those pics taken at Lochranza Castle on Arran??

Steve

Sure were :D

Nice car! What size are your alloys?

Cheers :) 17" RS4 wheels

Been offered a silver (53) one with 80K for £4500 & a red (54)one with 46K for £5500.My total budget is £6000 i'd like a little money left over to sort out a few bits and pieces.Andy

I think it depends on how ocd you are? lol

I was thinking about getting a black one, but as people have said you see every mark, if your into detailing and can maintain a perfect finish then black, if not, id say easiest would be silver.

Mines black, i must say, i clean it every week in summer, and when i did the propper detailing etc, it was ****in amazin! I was really suprised considering my cars pretty tatty overall.

Just found a 04 in black with 36K on the clock locally (18 miles) for £6000. Its more than I want to spend, but its pretty low mileage and they arent going to show up that close to home every 10 minutes so i'm going to have a looks at it next sunday (if its still up for grabs) and wave £5600 under his nose and see if he folds!

Good luck :) Hope it's what you're after.

When I bought mine yellow was the only colour i wanted, but I didn't want to travel too far when i was looking to buy ... one turned up 5 months later about 5 mins down the road from home :D

Sure were :D

Thought so! I wasn't a million miles away last month ;)

And good luck with the cars you're going to look at Mr Polo 6n1600i

The original Yellow is too green for my taste (unripe banana?) but the later Sprint Yellow is OK. Mine is black, and it does look great when clean. silver makes the car look utterly anonymous but I do like them in red. Blue is OK, but on balance red or black. Of course, I actually want one in Candy White:D

TBH, on a modern diesel car, mileage really means nothing, as long as it has been serviced every 10k (or as manufacturer advises)

Just picked up a Nov 04/54 plate Golf GT TDi, FSH, just serviced + cambelt was just done, with loads of toys for £6k. Had 80k on the clock though. Similar approved VW's were between £9-11k

Anyway, mileage shouldnt put you off, as long as it has been looked after

Lovely place. Shame about the state of the roads, and from the looks of it, the weather too

Red all the way!!

Adds about 20bhp, come on everyone knows that...right??

lol i love the black magic! but i really do love the look of the red fabias!! apart from that diesel dog thing...

prob would of had one but jabba luke had one and now someone else has one and i just wanted to be diffo lol!!! although imho i'd have had a yellow one if there was one close to me!!

Too many silver cars on the road in general, makes the VRS look tall IMHO. Black is nice, but as said above shows every mark. I've always found red cars sun fade with VAG paint the worst of the lot for this. I like yellow, but very much an acquired taste and can make selling on a bit limited.

Well then, Race Blue, stunning, but stone chips if you look at it the wrong way. Yes mine is Race Blue, love it.

Going to buy a black 53 plate a week today!

snap ^^ lol, well i gt a black 53 plate. Any piccys?

I've had a red one, a silver one and now a blue one.

Silver is anonymous, but hides the dirt well, the blue looks great when polished, but my preference would be red, looks stunning when clean, and doesn't fade if looked after.

( My Mazda is red, and looks the dogs danglies when minted up.)

Red all the way

Silver i tell you
