Re. Founding Members, please read

the founding member thing..........

we hope and reckon that this site is going to grow and grow. when we finally get listed on the search engines, i'm sure that we will get lots of new traffic and hence members.

we felt that it was important to give those who were present at the birth, if you like, of the website a community investment in it. after all, if people hadn't registered, there wouldn't be much going on here.

so...... using the fact that we have been online for a month, we used this as a cut-off point. everyone who has registered to that point will always be listed as a founding member and we hope that this is felt to be a good thing. of course there are people who will register and who won't be called a founding member but a cut-off had to be found. most people here now are hence founding members and this may at first look a little strange. however, as time goes on, i am positive that there will be more members than founding members, so any perceived inequalities of status will very quickly dissipate.

it may be that we 'rate' ( for want of a better word ) new members, eg, junior, senior etc. but to be honest i haven't discussed that with anyone, so this is NOT a briskoda position. we will wait and see how things develop. whtever we do, you can be sure it will be equitable and fair.

i really hope that this is taken in the spirit in which we wanted it to, but of course, if you are not happy about it, please let us know.

we just felt that we owe our original members, and that this was a nice way of doing things - especially when looking into the future you will always be seen as a founding member. there is very little we can do however that will satisfy everyone regarding cut-off points.........

you might disagree, we hope not.

regards,

i hope that this is not seen as a clique by others in the future but i do not think it will.

i personally speaking see absolutely nothing wrong with recognising those who were around and made a contribution, however small, at the time of briskoda's birth. its not singling out anybody for special praise, privileges etc., its just a fact, imho.

as said before, if there is a big growth in users, then this should be even less significant to those who perceive it makes a difference.

the important thing is to make all future members feel valued, welcome and part of the fold as we always do anyhow, and have our community grow as it has done so successfully over the recent past. i'm sure that new members in the future won't be bothered by the fact that some posters are listed as founder members.

regards,

Do we get share options, and a golden handshake after a year on the Board? :D

A nice gesture which gives one a warm fuzzy feeling. I like it.

I'd still rather have cash! ;)

:D

What for? To buy another coil pack?? Does Skoda UK know that you are hoarding them???

First we have the fondling members thing, now we have the new briskoda sport of warm fuzzy feeling

Foundling not fondling ... and are you sure that stalk (not stork) really has got more buttons on it ...

Denice..........you are a one

Are you taking the the proverbial, i do know that tubs of margarine do not contain buttons

Aye!! Me is well pleezed to be hangin' wit da original cru. It is well important that we hangs together and dat we increase da peace.

Me mate dave rekons dat me Skuda is a skip. Howeva, after ad ****ed him off at da lights he was crying like a batty boy, cos e is drivin a Bemma.

Ere, he reckons that da Skuda's is driven by batty boys and rug munchers!! I as sent round me Uncle Jamal in is 4x4 to sort him - For Real!!

Seriously though folks I am very proud to be associated as a founding member (it's not the first time I've been called a member!) even though all i've done is organise 1 meeting and typed a few words.

If we tell all fellow Skud drivers, we stand a chance of not only increasing all our knowledge, which has helped me already, but also it might make some of the more let us say, non-helpful dealers to sit up and take notice that there are people who take this Skoda thing rellay seriously!!

Good work chaps!!

DOH! I'm always late for everything!

Wonder if I made it in time?

Eyes left...

As Homer would say...Woohoo!!!

This and the Choices Video Golden Card Membership! (Only to be used in Sheffield stores, not to be used in conjunction with any other offers, not valid Friday 6pm while Monday 10am) :D

And I haven't even got a Skoda!

just checking

Just noticed this.

Cool.

Such an honor makes me ashamed I don't post more.

Maybe I could be a Founding Lurker. :)

I've just noticed, thre days, three piggin' days late, not weeks, not months, DAYS!
